Afforestation
Introducing forest onto lands which have not been included in forestry production activities for a long time e.g. post-agricultural areas. Like renewal, afforestation may be natural or artificial.
Afforested area
Forest land comprising areas covered with sapling and older forest stands and plantations and forest plantations of: poplar, seed and fast-growing trees.
